The s.Pz.Abt.503 requested the function improvement of T.Z.F9b gun sight of Tiger I on 15 March, 1943.

Dadurch wäre es praktisch auch möglich, daß ein Richtschütze, der mit dem linken Auge anrichtet, eingeteilt werden kann, um ein Verwechseln der rechten oder linken Strichplatte beim Schiessen zu vermeiden, kann der Richtschütze je nach Augenveranlagung auch das andere Optikrohr mit dem Optikwischer verdecken. 3.) Für den Richtschützen müßte ein Winkelspiegel in Höhe der Richtschützen-Turmlampe (wie beim T 34) angebracht werden. Das Ausblickglas müßte schwenkbar sein, der Einblick aber in Richtung 0 - Uhr stehenbleiben. Damit wäre dem Richtschützen die Möglichkeit gegeben, mehr zu sehen und Ziele schneller zu erfassen. | The optical sights of the Panzer-Kpfwg-VI meet the requirements of the troops.
